A pledge of $6m NZD to fund the Ren Xue Centre project.
The project was officially announced at the Retreat in Rotorua, with the support (& excitement) of Yuan Tze & Melissa.
The Visioning team met in in Golden Bay with the following goals: to investigate Golden Bay as a potential site for the Centre; to discuss roles of the team and what other skills were needed, to identify the mission and goals of the project and plan next steps.
Ren Xue Australasia purchased a 186 Hectare Farm in Onekaka, Golden Bay, New Zealand.
OK Grow Nursery developed as a Social Enterprise on the Farm.
A Resource Consent was granted by the Tasman District Council which permitted a 200 person Centre to be built on the land.
Updated Concept design for the Centre was shared with the Ren Xue community.
The old Farm house Villa was renovated and developed as a Ren Xue Guest house and meeting venue.
Arthouse and Tennent Brown Architects awarded the lead design contract.
